The FOB Mission

"The FOB" is a nonprofit program founded in Del Rio with a clear mission to combat veteran homelessness. The acronym FOB stands for Finding Our Brothers and Sisters, inspired by the military term "Forward Operating Base." In the military, a FOB is a strategically placed base that provides troops with the critical resources they need—supplies, equipment, and medical support—to carry out their mission effectively in challenging environments. Similarly, our FOB serves as a refuge and resource hub, dedicated to supporting our veterans as they transition back to civilian life.

Our Goal

Our goal is to break the cycle of homelessness that entraps too many of our brave men and women. We are committed to helping them reclaim their sense of duty, honor, and belonging while guiding them toward successful reintegration into society. Our approach is designed to set the standard for veteran support, providing comprehensive services through a carefully structured process.

The Process

The program follows a six-step journey: Intake, Assessment, Resolution, Refinement, Inspiration, and Reintegration. We believe that through this holistic approach, and with the help of our Red, White, and Blue Phases, we can empower veterans to build a brighter, more stable future.

Support for Communities

At FOB Del Rio, we believe that just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a united community to uplift those who have served our nation. Our collective efforts ensure that veterans don’t just survive, but thrive. The impact of our mission is magnified by the unwavering support of our community, whose dedication is critical to helping us restore dignity, stability, and hope for those who once stood in defense of us all.
